Implied Consent

Anyone obtaining a license to drive in Florida, and applying for said license, gives their consent to submit to both chemical tests and physical tests.  The most common chemical test is in the form of the Intoxilyzer 8000.  Other chemical tests include urine and blood tests.  These tests are designed to detect the presence of certain chemical or controlled substances.  “Implied consent: is triggered when a driver is lawfully arrested for driving under the influence.  Persons driving in the state of Florida holding an out of state driver’s license, as a matter of law, are deemed to consent to the requirements set forth above.
